The rustproof ever cut blades are curved for easy bypassing & close cutting, & feature a sap groove. In addition, the blades are coated with teflon-s for durability. The 20″ handles have vinyl grips but lack the shock-absorbing bumpers that come with top-of-the-line loppers. Occasional gear-greasing may be in order (ours was heavily greased upon arrival), but such maintenance is commonplace. On the whole, these loppers are a good buy for the money. Limited warranty.
